Position Description

There are three positions available, please specify in your application which you are applying to:

Reception: We are looking for a responsible and proactive person who likes teamwork, meet people and socialize with guests! Basically, this position is about doing beds after the check-out, helping with morning laundry, tidying up, and restocking the kitchen. Also, one day per week makes a special breakfast.

Night shift: We need someone that takes care of the hostel during the night…helping with check ins or check outs, keeping the common areas organized and silent. A relaxed job for someone who can do this and then enjoy the day!

Cooking: We need somebody who cooks for our guest at nights. Preparing tapas night, pizza, sangria. Somebody who makes them have nice moments sharing dinner and experiences in life. The most important thing is to enjoy with our guests and know new people from all over the world!!

Position Description

There are two positions as a receptionist and to help with room cleaning.  Please specify in your application which you are applying to. The hostel accepts a couple/pair from June until the end of September: one for this position and the other for the cleaning position.

Receptionist: The hostel will train you to help at the reception but a service experience would be a plus. A smiling, mature and responsible person who isn’t shy is necessary. You’ll help mainly in the evening shift (6 pm to 11 pm ), something in the afternoon. You need to be able to have a basic conversation in French and English.

Cleaning: The work is not complicated, we ask for about 15 hours of help a week, mainly cleaning (about 2-3 hours a day). The help is in the morning, usually between 10 am and 2 pm. You can choose your time. Our only request is that the rooms be cleaned by 3 pm (check-in time). You work 5 days/week and have 2 consecutive days off.

My stay at the hostel was amazing. It is such a beautiful place, with lots to do & explore in and around the region. The work was super chill, with time of respected, giving you the opportunity to meet lots of international travellers and get to know the area! I would really recommend this experience. I hope to return to the hostel in the future! Thank you to Celine & her brothers 🌟

I really enjoyed my experience at the hostel. I cleaned rooms and made beds. I was rostered for 3 hrs 5 days a week but I only worked the whole 3hrs once. I worked mostly on my own and this wasn’t an issue. Céline would help if there were a lot of check outs. Céline and her brothers were all very helpful and nice. I loved the hostel, there’s lots to do if you enjoy the outdoors. This was my first work exchange experience and I would recommend applying.
