Position Description

Sseeking outgoing, community-oriented individuals to join our team as Reception Managers. This role begins with a one-to-two week volunteer exchange where participants work 28 hours per week, spread across three full shifts and one shorter shift. During this time, volunteers receive free accommodation in air-conditioned staff dorms, access to a shared kitchen with unlimited basic food, and discounts on drinks, tours, and activities.

Once trained, team members transition into the Reception Manager role with reduced weekly hours and the option for paid extra shifts. Those living off-site are paid for all working hours. This is a flexible, immersive experience ideal for travelers looking to build skills and take on meaningful responsibility. For individuals who stay six months or longer and show leadership and commitment, there may be an opportunity to grow into a full-time Hostel Manager position with increased responsibilities and compensation.

We are looking for people who can commit to at least three months, with six months preferred. Experience in hospitality, customer service, or team management is a plus, along with strong communication skills, initiative, and a love of working with people. Intermediate English is required, and knowledge of Spanish or other languages is a bonus. Responsibilities include managing check-ins and check-outs, supervising volunteers, handling bookings and guest support, selling tours and activities, managing cash, and creating a fun and welcoming environment for all.
