Situated a mere 250m from Las Canteras Beach in Las Palmas, the hostel boasts a rooftop terrace.
The hostel offers a shared communal kitchen and a cozy lounge area. Accommodation comprises shared dormitory rooms equipped with bunk beds, while separate shared bathrooms cater to the needs of both male and female guests. In the communal kitchen, you’ll find amenities like an oven, two fridges, a ceramic hob, microwave, and coffee machine. A comfortable lounge area with sofas is also at your disposal. Additionally, guests have the convenience of accessing lockers for their belongings.

Position Description
The role will encompass maintaining cleanliness, performing upkeep tasks, and ensuring order within the premises and at the reception. You will assist with taking bookings and payments. Help clean the kitchen, bedrooms, bathrooms and common areas. Also you will have some housekeeping duties that include changing the bed linens and general housekeeping. The role also requires you to help with check-ins, check-outs and guest assistance.As partners with a surf school, we extend discounts for surf lessons and equipment rental, with the added perk that volunteers who recommend the surf school to guests or friends can partake for free.

The experience at the hostel was amazing! The place is good, the activities are very simple and easy to do, and Pilar is always on to help us whenever we need! The hostel is very familiar, so calm and very good for relaxing times in our free time. The island is perfect, every where you go, you can have a great experience, mainly with the nature. I’m so thankful for this first experience as a volunteer!

I really enjoyed my time at the hostel! The work hours were great. The work is laid out so that you work one day for the whole day (8:30 am to 11:30pm) and then you get the next 3 days off and then that repeats. This gives so much time to explore the rest of the island. Also even though the day of work is a lot of hours, it is not too bad. For the first few hours you clean the hostel, then you hang out for the rest of the day, wait for checking, and just be there if anyone needs something. And then you clean the kitchen in the night.

The island itself is one of my favorite places that I have visited so far. The hostel is located right in the city center and I was close to the best beaches which was really good. The work consisted in working one day all day which it was hard but it was rewarded after with 3 days off to do wherever you wanted to. The best this that I can take out of this experience was the team that I was working with Caty, memi, vale and Elena made my experience much better. If you have a good team you will love the experience.
